Saturday 12th May 1990 was the first appearance in an FA Cup Final for Crystal Palace Football Club and this Wembley showpiece against Manchester United certainly went down as one of the best under the twin towers. The first FA Cup Final played in front of an all-seater stadium will always be remembered for Ian Wright, returning after a long term injury, coming off the bench to score two goals as Palace came within seven minutes of winning the trophy. The game saw Steve Coppells side wear the Fly Virgin To LA red and blue shirt for the one and only time and it nearly proved the lucky omen for this special afternoon.
Palace had taken the lead through Gary O'Reilly but United came back to turn the deficit around with goals from Bryan Robson and Mark Hughes but then came the introduction from the bench of the 27 year old striker.
Wright made an immediate impact when he beat two defenders before slotting the ball past Jim Leighton to take the game into extra time. A volley from Wright put Palace ahead but was cancelled out by a late equaliser from Hughes for his second goal of the game to send the final to a replay.

Refunds, Returns & Exchanges
Items can be returned for a refund or size exchange within 30 days of receipt, provided they are new, unused and in their original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.
Personalised items, including shirt printing, cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty or arrive damaged. Faulty items must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
Socks and ear studs can only be returned if unopened. We do not accept returns on boxer shorts or gift cards.
Exchanges are subject to availability. Refunds are made to the original payment method.
